Fair Trade certification began in the Netherlands in 1988 in response to dropping coffee prices in the world market. Fair Trade Coffee  is purchased directly from the growers for a higher price than standard coffee. The reason why for trade coffee is to promote healthier working conditions and greater economic incentive producers. This is why Cafe Kinetic believes in fair trade Coffee and promotes it.
